It’s been a long time and many of you will recollect that the last assembly meeting was due to take place during March 2020, but it had to be cancelled due to the Coronavirus pandemic. The main purpose of that meeting was to go through the results of the Commonplace consultation that many of you contributed towards and agree a set of priorities from them.
This still needs to be done prior to us launching the Ward NCIL fund this autumn and at this assembly we will go through the Commonplace consultation and agree up to 5 priorities for Downham from this consultation, there will also be the option for the assembly to add a sixth priority. In addition to this and as per any assembly meeting you will hear some local updates from your ward councillors and you also have the opportunity to share any news that you have.
The Assembly will take place on Microsoft Teams and this link will take you to the assembly meeting (if you click on it on the day / time of the assembly).

Finally, whilst restrictions have been lifted, Covid case numbers continue to rise both nationally and across the borough, therefore, we do not feel it prudent to hold a large public meeting at this present time. However, we do hope that the situation will be different for our autumn assembly meeting.
